This data protection declaration informs you, how TransFAIRiert e.V. handles your data, which we process via our websites and social media channels. In order to make the processing of your data comprehensible for you, we would like to give you an overview of this processing with the following information. In order to ensure fair processing, this data protection declaration contains general information on how we handle your data as well as information on your rights under the European General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously, including when you visit our website. Your data will be protected in accordance with the statutory provisions. In the following you will find information about which data is recorded during your visit to the homepage and how it is used.

2. General information on data processing
The term "personal data" under data protection law refers to all information that relates to a specific or identifiable person.
We process personal data in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations, in particular the DSGVO and the BDSG. Data processing by us only takes place based on legal permission. We process personal data only with your consent (Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a) DSGVO), to fulfill a contract to which you are a party, or at your request to carry out pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b ) DSGVO), to fulfill a legal obligation (Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter c) DSGVO) or if the processing is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, unless your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms, which require the protection of personal data prevail (Art. 6 Paragraph 1 S letter f) DSGVO).
3. Duration of storage
Unless otherwise stated in the following information, we only store the data for as long as is necessary to achieve the processing purpose or to fulfill our contractual or legal obligations. Such statutory retention requirements can arise from commercial or tax regulations. We are legally obliged to store this information. The legal basis is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter c) DSGVO.

5. Processing when exercising your rights according to Art. 15 - 22 DSGVO
If you exercise your rights according to Art. 12 - 22 DSGVO, we process the transmitted personal data for the purpose of implementing these rights by us and in order to be able to provide evidence of this.
For the purpose of providing information and preparing it, we will only process data stored for this purpose and for purposes of data protection control and otherwise limit processing in accordance with Art 18 DSGVO. This processing is based on the legal basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter c) DSGVO in conjunction with Art. 15 - 22 DSGVO and Section 34 Paragraph 2 BDSG.
6. Processing in a blacklist
In certain cases, we save your contact details (address and / or email address) in a blacklist. No general information about the work of TransFAIRiert e.V. or the possibility of taking on a sponsorship or individual donation will be sent to contact details that are noted in such blacklists. For this purpose, these blacklists are also sent to service providers who are commissioned by us to send such information.
We include contact details on people who have already sponsored us. In addition, the respective contact details of a person will be included, if this person disagreed on processing this data for the purpose of direct advertising according to Art. 21 Paragraph 2 DSGVO.
The processing on the legal basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f) DSGVO. Saving the data in the blacklist is intended to ensure, on the one hand, that information about TransFAIRiert e.V. and the possibilities of sponsorship are not sent to people who have already adopted a sponsorship. On the other hand, by storing the data in a blacklist, it should be ensured that an objection raised by a data subject to the processing of the data for the purpose of direct mail is fully observed.

As a data subject, you have the right to assert your data subject rights against us. You have the following rights:

If we process personal data about you for the purpose of direct advertising, you can object this processing in accordance with Art. 21 Paragraph 2 and Paragraph 3 DSGVO.
9. Other
Saved data
It is inevitable that the data that your browser transmits to us is automatically saved in the server statistics. These are browser type and browser version, the operating system used, the referrer URL (the previously visited page), the host name of the accessing computer (IP address) and the time of the server request. This storage is used only for internal and statistical purposes. Further personal data is only recorded if you provide this information voluntarily, for example as part of an inquiry and registration. As a rule, we cannot assign the above-mentioned data to specific persons, and we do not combine this data with other data sources.
Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are saved on your computer and that enable your use of the website to be analyzed.
